About

I came to dreamwork through the twin portals of literature and religion. As a lover of literature, I am fascinated with poetry and myth, both of which – like dreams – rely on imagery to stir the heart’s truth. As a lifelong Presbyterian, I am grateful for my grounding in a religious tradition that encourages the interplay of faith, intellect, imagination, and service. As a spiritual seeker within and beyond the realm of Christendom, I find that Jungian-based dreamwork offers a rich, reliable method for exploring the mystery of our life in God.

The education and training I bring to this work include a B.A. in English from Rhodes College, a M.A. in Literature from Vanderbilt; 12 years of teaching experience, and certifications in both Dream Leader Training and Spiritual Direction from The Haden Institute, which is affiliated with the Episcopal Church.  I am a member of Spiritual Directors International and the International Association for the Study of Dreams.

Since 2000, I have facilitated dream circles, taught dream work, and written about dreams. Second Presbyterian Church in Nashville TN is my church home.
